Produces 30 pounds of thrust, approximately equivalent in an inflatable to 2 HP.Mounts on wooden transom of larger inflatables or on the MM3 for the smaller units.
We recommend using a 33 Amp Hour battery, (listed below), when using this motor with a Sevylor inflatable boat. A 33 amp hour battery weighs approximately 24 lbs. compared to a Group 27 battery that weighs approximately 45lbs.
Minnkota recommends a Group 27 Gel-Cell Deep-Cycle Battery to meet the energy needs of the larger motor. Given the weight of such a battery, you should purchase this locally to avoid shipping costs. Gel-Cells do not leak acid, making them safe for the inflatable.
You can order a battery box from us with the link below.
The minimum rating for a charger should be 6 Amps, with 10 Amps recommended. From dead-flat, a 6 Amp charger will take about 16 hours, a 10 Amp unit about 10 hours.
Unit is 30 inches from the top to the propeller.
