We recommend using a 33 Amp Hour battery, (listed below), when using this motor with a Sevylor inflatable boat. A 33 amp hour battery weighs approximately 24 lbs. compared to a Group 27 battery that weighs approximately 45lbs.
Minnkota recommends a Group 27 Gel-Cell Deep-Cycle Battery to meet the energy needs of the larger motor. Given the weight of such a battery, you should purchase this locally to avoid shipping costs. Gel-Cells do not leak acid, making them safe for the inflatable.

The minimum rating for a charger should be 6 Amps, with 10 Amps recommended. From dead-flat, a 6 Amp charger will take about 16 hours, a 10 Amp unit about 10 hours.

NOTE: This item may be too large to ship internationally via US Post Office. It depends upon the country. If too large, we can ship UPS WorldWide or FedEx. They are both more expensive and will require a manual quote.
The actual weight of the box is 20.5 pounds. UPS dimensional weight applies and the box bills out at 34 pounds.
