Captain Jim meets the blogosphere! That's right, we're feeling our way with a ShipStore.com blog, and we'd love your feedback on how we're doing and what we can

improve. There are still a few design kinks we're working out, but we're launching anyway in the hopes that you'll help us fine tune everything. And, there's also

another reason to speed up the launch date. As George explains below, we're headed off to our biggest marine trade show, and we're going to use the blog to

broadcast "day of show" special pricing as well as other timely updates from the trade show. Expect a few glitches as we experiment with audio blogging and photo

blogging...

It's time to head off for another buying bonanza. Each year we attend a series of trade shows to buy marine products for the incoming season. Manufacturers offer

their best (lowest) prices as an incentive for us to buy. Since manufacturers are trying to lock in their orders to determine how much to produce, they are often

willing to make outrageous deals.

Building on last year's success, we've decided to pass on the factory savings to you. For two long, exciting days at The Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut

we'll meet with dozens of manufacturers, evaluate myriad new marine products, and place our orders for all sorts of new items to offer at ShipStore.com. We'll run a

two day sale on select items, passing along day-of-show pricing to our loyal customers.

Captain Jim wrangled permission to pass these deals directly on to you. We'll be meeting with manufacturer's reps with our wireless laptops in hand at all times so

that we can extend the super savings to you in real time. Before the ink had dried on our contracts we'll have added the best deals to our new ShipStore.com Blog
