Teak Sealer replaces teak oils that were used on teak. There is no such things as "teak oil". Most products called Teak Oil are mixtures of linseed or tung oil and solvents, which can be used as Oil for Teak. High varnish content mixtures tend to peel or blister due to the natural oils in the teak wood working their way to the surface. The graying of teak wood is caused by the oxidation of the oils on the surface. SEMCO puts UV protection and a mildewcide in their sealers to prevent this process. Semco sealer can be used on Oak, Yellow Pine, Fir and Cedar as well. Please note a gloss shine will not appear on the finish. Traditional varnish will be needed for that effect. Select from the color choices below to provide the best protection to your teak. Rough rule of thumb: Coverage is 200 square feet per gallon for the 1st coat and 400 square feet per gallon for the 2nd coat. Care tips for your teak
