Throughout the year we look for new products to bring to our customers. I am thrilled to share with you 39 new titles from Globe Pequot Press! Publishers of hundreds of titles, they have a great mix of books for everyone with a little ocean in their veins.
Traveling to NY with the kids? We've got you covered with a kid-tested book to get you around to all the best places. Have a thing for Lighthouses? Me, too... I have always wanted to visit the Pacific Northwest. The Globe Pequot book has strengthened my resolve to get out there. While I am not nearly as big a fan as my friend Brian, I love knots and knowing the right one for the job. With three different knot books available from Globe Pequot Press, my evening reading is set for a while. And let's not forget the pirate books! I hope you enjoy these new items as much as I do. We'll be adding more as the winter progresses.
I would like to thank everyone who has ordered from us, subscribed to the Beacon, and helped us grow this year. Our crew has worked hard to meet your needs and respond to the changing markets. We are approaching our 10th year online, making us a dot-com dinosaur. We'll be celebrating throughout the summer.

~ CAPTAIN'S TIP: What's the Most Popular Christmas Gift?

No sooner did I mail out the last Beacon Newsletter, but the snowflakes began to fall. In no time we had a nice five or six inch blanket of snow. Must be Murphy's Law! Next time I want it to snow I'll just send out a Beacon saying there's no snow. I wonder if it will work for sunshine during the summer time?
Did you take advantage of our gift ideas last week? I hope they served as the perfect antidote to C-SAD (Christmas Shopping Amnesia Disorder), but just in case you need a reminder, you'll find the list below with a couple of timely additions.
