It was four days before Christmas,
And all through the ShipStore.com warehouse
Every creature was clicking away on a mouse.
The packages were boxed and stacked with care
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there.
The ShipStore crew dreamed of sleep, supper and beds,
But visions of marine supplies still danced in their heads.
Captain Jim sent emails and studied the shipping map
For last minute strategies, his trusty Mac in his lap.
When out in the warehouse there arose such a clatter
I sprang from my desk to see what was the matter.
Away from printers, screens, servers and memory cache,
In a jiffy so spiffy, it had to be Macromedia Flash!
The shipping dock had been opened by whom I don't know,
(A white bearded, red suited man would seem apropos...)
But no Santa, no sleigh, no team of reindeer,
Only a huge brown truck idling in reverse gear.
With a brown suited driver, so lively and quick
I knew in a moment it must be... UPS!

The United Parcel Service actually ran TWO trucks to pick up all of the packages being shipped from ShipStore.com today, and they've been coming and going every day, alternating turns at the shipping dock with FedEx for weeks, guaranteeing that you receive your holiday orders in time.

My rather rudimentary adaptation of the opening verse of Clement C. Moore's "The Night Before Christmas" may not win any poetry prizes, but it conveys something of the atmosphere around here lately. It's been a busy holiday season, and we're thrilled that so many of you have chosen to make ShipStore.com part of you Christmas shopping tradition. We love having the opportunity to make people happy on this special day, and if you have been happy with us, I hope that you'll spread the word.

I'm going to keep this short and sweet, so that we can continue racing the clock, making sure that St. Nick is well supported by all of his helpers at ShipStore.com. Merry Christmas to all of you!
