We've just received over two dozen new Wego Kite Tubes, the single hottest watersports product of the season. Like most dealers around the country, we've had a challenging time keeping this wild, new towable on the shelves because demand has totally outstripped anyone's wildest expectations. SportsStuff is hustling to keep the production high to satisfy demand, and we've managed to secure a limited supply. Our new warehouse and inventory clerk, Brian Lafountain, checked then new shipment in this afternoon, but they won't last long. ~ CAPTAIN'S TIP: GPS - Global Positioning Systems

Usually referred to by its acronym GPS, the Global Positioning System is the only fully-functional satellite navigation system and has quickly become a vital global utility, indispensable for all forms of modern navigation. A network of GPS satellites broadcast precise timing signals by radio to GPS receivers, allowing them to accurately and precisely determine location (longitude, latitude, and altitude) 24 hours a day, in any weather, in any visibility, and to high levels of accuracy.

Even novice users can quickly learn to establish their precise coordinates, determine speed, time to destination, etc. Inexpensive and reliable GPS instruments have revolutionized navigation quickly making GPS into a vital global utility, indispensable for modern navigation on land, sea, and air around the world, as well as an important tool for map-making, and land surveying. GPS also provides an extremely precise time reference, required for telecommunications and some scientific research, including the study of earthquakes.

In order to choose the right GPS system for your personal needs, consider how much precision and accuracy are necessary for your preferred application, and consider which features you need/prefer. Compare handheld portable GPS versus fixed mount GPS systems, types of displays, size of the unit and controls, daytime visibility and/or nighttime visibility, number of waypoints, and price. You'll find a wide variety of GPS systems and should have no difficulty finding a product ideally suited to your needs.
